Not just a rider and trainer, Craig is also an experienced horse trials organizer, course designer and builder.
In 2004 he started the Surefire Horse Trials in Virginia. The Surefire Horse Trials received rave reviews upon its debut and expanded to four days of competition in 2005, hosting over 600 horses. In 2006 Craig started the Maryland Horse Trials, again earning a positive response from riders and officials alike for providing an efficient, user-friendly event. In 2008 he started the first Aiken Event Horse Sale. As the first of its kind for event horses, the sale hosted over 65 horses and 35 registered buyers.
