Working Student Opportunities

Craig Thompson Eventing takes on part-time and full-time working students. Being a working student is a great way to learn a lot quickly. Craig got his start in eventing as a working student for Sally O'Connor, David's mom, and Wash Bishop, who trained many top young riders at the time. Riders considering being a working student should begin by downloading the Working Student Application and are encouraged to come for lessons or a week long stay to get a feel for the position.

  • Part-time working students must commit a minimum of two months. The fees associated include $25/day for board and $300/month for on-site housing, plus utilities. These students work six hours daily, six days per week.
  • Full-time working students must commit a minimum of four months. The board for a full-time working student is $17.50/day. Housing for full-time students costs $240/month plus utilities. These students work full-time six days a week.
